More than just a photo session.
At The Dog Photog, it’s not just about getting a cute pic of your pup (though you’ll absolutely get that). It’s about capturing your dog’s spirit, quirks, and one-of-a-kind personality before time rushes by.
Whether it’s the head tilt that melts you or catching treats mid-air that crack you up, I’m here to preserve those fleeting moments with images you’ll be proud to display—and cherish for years to come.
Before the Session
Pick your session date, and time, then complete your booking with payment. You’ll get a contract via email—just sign to confirm your session.
Next, fill out the Session Questionnaire so I can get to know you, your pup, and your vision. Based on your dog’s coat, I’ll suggest 3 backdrop colors—you can go with my picks or choose your own (depending on availability).

The Photo Session
I’ll greet you at the main entrance and walk you to the studio, where your first backdrop will already be set up. While your dog sniffs around and settles in, we’ll chat briefly about your vision, photo goals, and the cues your dog knows (like “stay” or “wait”).
I’ll start by working one-on-one with your pup so they get used to me and the camera. Throughout the session, I’ll guide you on how to help—from where to stand to how to hold treats to keep their attention.
We’ll spend around 10–15 minutes on each backdrop. Depending on your dog’s focus and energy, we’ll adjust as needed. Between backdrop changes, you’ll take your pup outside for a quick bathroom and mental break.
After the session wraps (usually about an hour), you’ll head to the café down the street for a coffee on me while I prep your images—ready to view in about 30 minutes.
The Ordering Appointment
After your break, we’ll settle back into the studio to review about 30 images from your session. By now, your pup will likely be ready to relax while we focus on choosing your favorites.
You’ll see a mix of expressions, poses, close-ups, and full-body shots captured on each backdrop. I’ll help you narrow down the images and visualize how they can come to life as wall art, prints, or albums—because these portraits deserve more than just a spot on your phone.
You’ll also get to see and feel real product samples, including framed matted prints, wrapped canvases, metal prints, and heirloom albums. Every session includes a $150 product credit to use toward any artwork you choose, and each print or product ordered comes with the matching digital file.

Full resolution digital images will delivered to your inbox within 7 days.
Printed artwork ships directly to you within 2–3 weeks.
