The Dog Photog Experience
More than just a photo session.
At The Dog Photog, it’s not just about getting a cute pic of your pup (though you’ll absolutely get that). It’s about capturing your dog’s spirit, quirks, and one-of-a-kind personality before time rushes by.
Whether it’s the head tilt that melts you or catching treats mid-air that crack you up, I’m here to preserve those fleeting moments with images you’ll be proud to display—and cherish for years to come.
Before the Session
Request your preferred session day and time and I’ll reply with my next three available dates for you to choose from. Once we confirm your session date, you’ll receive a link to your Client Portal to complete the following:

Pre-Order artwork, prints, and extra digitals with a 20% pre-order discount
You’ll choose the images you want used for these purchases after you’ve received your image gallery
Fill out your Session Questionnaire so I can get to know you, your pup, and your goals for the session.
Using your Session Questionnaire responses, I’ll create a custom Hue+Hound Color Guide with my top 3 suggested color background colors that best compliment your dog’s coat. You’ll select your background colors about a week before your session.

The Photo Session
I’ll greet you at the main entrance and walk you to the studio, where your first backdrop will already be set up. While your dog sniffs around and settles in, we’ll chat briefly about your vision, photo goals, and the cues your dog knows (like “stay” or “wait”).
I’ll start by working one-on-one with your pup so they get used to me and the camera. Throughout the session, I’ll guide you on how to help—from where to stand to how to hold treats to keep their attention.
We’ll spend around 15 minutes on each backdrop. Depending on your dog’s focus and energy, we’ll adjust as needed. Between backdrop changes, you’ll take your pup outside for a quick bathroom and mental break.
After your session, you’ll get an online gallery with 15 edited images. Your session includes 3 digital images ready to download right away.
If you fall in love with more than the 3 included images, you can purchase the full gallery of the remaining 12 images for or buy individual digital images.
If you pre-ordered artwork, you’ll also receive a form to pick which images to use, plus 20% off all products.

After The Session
Whether or not you pre-ordered artwork, you can order prints, canvases, albums, and extra digital images directly through your gallery anytime.
You can also visit during open studio dates to see product samples in different sizes—including framed prints, canvases, metal prints, and albums—to help plan your display.
Printed artwork usually ships within 2–3 weeks after ordering.
