Who’s The Dog Photog?
I’m Bre McGee—dog lover, professional photographer, and the human behind The Dog Photog. My journey into pet portraiture started when my puppy, Fraser, needed heart surgery at just 4 months old. I hosted a one-day Pop Portrait fundraiser to help cover the costs—and the sessions sold out in a week. That day didn’t just save his life, it changed mine.
Four months later, I launched The Dog Photog to celebrate the joy, quirks, and spirit of our four-legged companions. Every session takes place in my distraction-free, dog-friendly studio in Minneapolis—designed to help your pup feel safe, seen, and totally at ease. Whether it’s a head tilt, a tail wag, or a soulful stare, my goal is to capture your dog’s essence and the bond you share in images you’ll treasure forever.
When I’m not in the studio (usually covered in dog hair), I’m reading, practicing yoga, or out in nature with my husband and our two dogs—Fraser the Westie and Sequoia the Lab/Bully mix.
