The Happy Dog Guarantee: How Your Gallery & Ordering Process Works

One of the most important parts of working with The Dog Photog is this: I want you to be absolutely thrilled with your dog’s portraits. Not just “these are nice.” I mean frame-it-on-the-wall, show-everyone-you-know, can’t-stop-smiling thrilled.

That’s exactly why your session includes my Happy Dog Guarantee — and why your gallery is set up the way it is.

When your gallery arrives, everything is set up to help you review your images, make any changes you want, and confidently order your favorites. Here’s how everything works, step by step.

Step 1 —
Open your gallery

Inside your gallery you’ll see two albums:

• Album named after your dog

  • This album contains your photographer-selected, fully edited, ready-to-download portraits. I carefully chose these portraits because together they capture different facets of your dog’s personality — a thoughtful mix of:

    • Different angles

    • Varied crops

    • Classic expressions

    • Playful moments

  • This curated set is designed to tell a complete story of your dog.

  • This album features 2 more images than what are included in your session package:

    • One Dog Session: 3 digital portraits included // 5 portraits in gallery to choose from

    • Two Dog Session: 5 digital portraits included // 7 portraits in gallery to choose from

    • Three Dog Session: 7 digital portraits included // 9 portraits in gallery to choose from

• Proofs album

  • This album contains unedited images from your session. These are not finished images — they’re intentionally unedited previews. They’re there so you can:

    • Relive the experience

    • See additional moments we captured

    • Choose different favorites if you’d prefer them over any of the included five

  • And this is where the Happy Dog Guarantee comes into play.

Step 2 —
Use the Happy Dog Guarantee, if needed

If you do not love one or more of the photographer-selected portraits, you can replace them.

You may swap any or all of your photographer-selected images at no additional cost.

• “Heart” the number of proof images you would like to have edited to replace the photographer-selected options

• Click on the photographer-selected image you want to replace. Then click the “talk bubble” icon to write a note and write something like, “Replacing this image with a favorited proof”

  • Bonus points if you note the image name of the proof you want to replace it with!

• Once your selections are complete, please email me that your image selections is ready for revision. You can send me an email directly or submit your favorites list inside your gallery.

This guarantee exists so you never feel stuck with images you don’t love.

The only important rule:
Please do not download the original photographer-selected images before requesting swaps.

Once an image is downloaded, it is considered accepted and finalized. Waiting to download ensures we can make changes cleanly and honor the guarantee properly.

And truly — you won’t hurt my feelings. My goal is not for you to love my picks. It’s for you to love your portraits.

Step 3 —
If You Love All Photographer-Selected Images

If you adore all five photographer-selected portraits and don’t want to make swaps, you have the option to add the remaining two images from your curated set at a special rate.

Normally, additional images are $100 each.

But if you’re keeping your original photographer-selected portraits without swaps, you can:

• Click Print Store from the menu

• Click Digital Download

• Select Full Gallery Download

• Select High Resolution (original size)

• Click Buy Downloads

• Apply the coupon code TWOFUR100 at checkout

This allows you to add the remaining two images for less than $100 total. This special offer only applies when ordering the five photographer-selected images without swaps.

Step 4 —
Purchasing Additional Favorites from Your Proofs

If you fall in love with additional proof images (which happens often), you have a couple options:

Option A: Purchase Additional Digital Files

• Click Cart icon on the proofs you want to order

• Click Digital Download

• Select Single Image Download

• Select High Resolution (original size)

• Click Add to Cart

  • Images will be fully edited before they are ready to download

  • Your finished digital portraits will be delivered within 7 days of purchases

Option B: Order Wall Art + Complimentary Bonus

When you order wall art featuring a proof image, the image will be fully professionally edited before printing. And as a complimentary bonus, you’ll receive the matching high-resolution digital file of the same image.

• Click Cart icon on the proofs you want to order

• Select “Prints” or “Wall Art” from the menu

• Select your product

• Select the size

• Click “Make [product]” button

• Select the image you want to order

• Click Next to add it to your cart

Important:
All proof images purchased — whether as digital files or wall art — are fully edited before delivery or printing. You never receive unfinished work as a final product.
