Celebrating 5 Years of Dog Photog
One-Day Pop-In Event to Celebrate 5 Years!
The Dog Photog started in March 2021 after Fraser, our four-month-old Westie, was diagnosed with a severe heart condition requiring a $5,000 surgery.
With the surgery already scheduled and no plan to pay for it, I put together a last-minute Pup Portrait Fundraiser. What I thought might be a small effort turned into something far bigger — every session filled, walk-ups were welcomed, and Fraser’s surgery was fully funded through portraits and community generosity.
That experience changed everything. Four months later, I officially launched The Dog Photog.
Five years later, I’ve photographed more than 200 dogs, moved into a new studio, and already hit the one-year mark here. Fraser is still at the center of it all — the reason this work exists and the reminder of how it began.
This anniversary felt like the right moment to mark the journey with something simple and intentional: a limited, one-day Pop-In Portrait Event.

All sessions for this Pop-In Event will be photographed on our signature Blue Mist background. This is our most popular color and most universally flattering on all shapes, sizes, coats, and colors.

A headshot portrait is similiar to a school portrait, captured from the chest up. You won’t see most of your dog’s body, feet or tail, but the focal point will be their darling face. All images on this page (with the exception of the first and the last) show the type of crop you can expect.

Unedited proofs from your session will be delivered with your included portrait (selected and edited by The Dog Photog). You can select and order additional images from your proofs to be edited and digitally delivered 2 weeks after your selection.

Each ten-minute pop-session is enough time to hotograph one dog. Booking back-to-back sessions is encouraged if you have more than one dog you’d like photographed.
